  • Finding Beauty in a Busy Morning

One morning, I found myself in one of those mornings.

The kind where everything feels rushed before the day even begins.

Getting the girls ready for school, making sure everything is packed, thinking about what still needs to be done at home, what work is waiting, what the rest of the day will look like. My mind was already full, and the day hadn’t even really started yet.

We got in the car and joined the line of morning traffic.

Cars everywhere. Everyone going somewhere. It felt like the world was already moving fast, and I was just trying to keep up.

I remember thinking about everything I had to do.

    What I needed to clean.

    What I needed to finish.

    What I hadn’t done yet.

It was one of those realistic, busy, overwhelming mornings that most of us know too well.

    And then…

    Something unexpected happened.

    The line stopped.

    Right at the perfect spot.

    Not just for a second…

but long enough for me to actually look up.

A quiet pause in the middle of a busy morning.

And right there, in front of me, the sky was glowing in the most beautiful shade of pink and red.

It was one of those moments that feels almost unreal – like it wasn’t meant to be rushed past.

And for a second, everything around me felt quiet.

    The cars were still there.

    The day was still waiting.

Nothing about my responsibilities had changed.

    But I paused.

    I just looked.

    And I breathed.

It felt like I was given a moment I didn’t plan for, and probably would have missed if everything had kept moving.

    And I thought to myself…

How many moments like this do I pass by every day?

Not because they aren’t there –

but because I’m too busy to notice them.

That morning didn’t suddenly become easier.

I still had everything waiting for me.

But something shifted, just a little.

A reminder that even in the middle of busy mornings,

    even in traffic,

    even when life feels full…

There are still moments of beauty.

And sometimes, they come to us.

    Unplanned.

    Unexpected.

Right when we need them the most.

    A Quiet Reminder

Maybe we don’t always need more time.

Maybe we just need to notice the moments that are already there.
